Brophy took home a national Emmy for field anchoring a morning newscast through her career, spent her summers reporting from the wildfire lines, and strongly tracked and announced the arrival of captured Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. While she loves the news, Brophy’s personality and enthusiasm point to the weather. She spent two of her five years as a big weather-team factor in Boise.
In addition, she began her TV career as a weekend forecaster in St. George, Utah. Alana well knows Utah’s Dixie and has loved the possibility of spending time in the state’s southern part. The opportunity to forecast among The Red Rock was something after graduation, she just couldn’t leave behind.
Once in the mountains, Brophy obtained news for the launch of the Donnie and Marie Osmond Show in Las Vegas from the local polygamist response to the El Dorado raid.
