She was brought to the small island of Puerto Rico prior to moving to Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 10. Furthermore, she resides in Jacksonville until she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of North Florida.
During college, she was the managing editor of the school newspaper Spinnaker. In addition, she was also the video production assistant for the Department of Communications, director for Inside Jacksonville, and director of communication for the Latin American Student Organization. Alexandra also had the chance to intern with WJXT-News4Jax where she developed her skills.
As she continued to study journalism, she realized she had a true love for news. However, Alex likes telling people’s stories in front of the camera and enjoys behind-the-camera work. Producing and creating the whole picture of the story is just as exciting.
