She interned at WVUE Fox 8 News between January 2-17 and April 2-17 (4 months). While still an intern at WVUE, she Shadowed reporters, went in the field with photographers, conducted interviews, and assisted in producing shows.
She had her first taste of professional reporting at Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond, Los Angeles. Alliyah worked as a student news reporter and multimedia journalist for one year and eleven months before leaving in January 2017. She joined WABG Delta News in June 2017 where she spent two years as a Bureau news reporter.
