Art Rascon is a highly respected former American news anchor, known for his outstanding work with Disney-owned KTRK in Houston, Texas. Prior to his tenure at KTRK, Rascon worked as a CBS News correspondent, where he reported on international events for the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather and 48 Hours. His work for CBS Radio also earned him a national Edward R. Murrow award for his coverage of Hurricane Opal in 1995.

Throughout his career, Rascon has reported on major events around the world, covering everything from natural disasters and civil unrest to wars and conflicts in the Middle East, Central America, and beyond. He has traveled to over 75 countries on five continents and has reported from nearly every state in the United States. Rascon has been nominated for national and regional Emmy Awards and has won more than 20 Emmy awards throughout his career.

Rascon’s contributions to journalism have not gone unnoticed. In 1997, he was recognized as one of only five Latino correspondents reporting major events for the evening news on national television networks in the United States. He also served as vice president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and was named one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in America by Hispanic Business Magazine.
