Ashish Jha, a general internist who is also known as Dr. Ashish Jha, is an Indian-American and the third Dean of Brown University’s School of Public Health. He coordinates the White House’s response to the coronavirus.
At the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, he previously served as the K.T. Li Professor of Global Health. He also played a key role in the reaction to the COVID-19 and Ebola epidemics.
In an effort to lessen the impacts of COVID-19, Dr. Jha called for a two-week national quarantine across the United States in the middle of March.
