Chinelo Anohu is a lawyer, public servant, and administrator from Nigeria. She is the former Director General and CEO of the National Pension Commission (PenCom). She was the first person to join the Africa Advisory group at the London Stock Exchange. She became PenCom’s first legal adviser in Nigeria in 2004. She was made the commission’s substantive Director General on December 14, 2014. Chinelo is PenCom’s substantive Director General and CEO as of 2016 when the company had assets worth more than N5 billion. She was a member of the Pension Reform Team that developed the Nigerian contributory pension system.

She started out as the commission’s first Secretary/Legal Adviser before she became the DG. She was accused of transferring family-owned funds from a Pension Fund Administrator to another PFA. In a related development, on August 11, 2016, she was prevented from taking the action by the Federal High Court in Abuja. She is a member of the Africa Advisory Group at the London Stock Exchange.

President Muhammadu Buhari relieved her of her duties as D.G. of PenCom in 2017.
