Chris Okotie Family

Okotie was born in Ethiope-West, Delta State (then Bendel State), to Francis Idje and Cecilia Okotie. He has always enjoyed singing, even as a young child. He didn’t think about making money from his talent until his first year of college, when his father died.

His sister Lorine Okotie is a singer. Even though Lorine Okotie only put out one album during her career, she worked hard to keep the songs on it iconic. The Nigerian Gospel music scene is currently dominated by women like Spinach, Lara George, Mercy Chinwo, and Tope Alabi, among others. Nevertheless, we can all agree that Lorine Okotie’s song will endure and that she will be remembered as one of Nigeria’s most influential contemporary gospel artists.

Chris Okotie Wife

On June 24, 2012, Okotie announced that he had divorced his second wife after two marriages. He was married to Stephanie Henshaw from the year 2008 to 2012 and Tina Okotie, who they divorced in 2001.

Chris Okotie Education

In Benin City, he attended Edo College for secondary education. He received his law degree from the University of Nigeria at Nsukka in 1984. Before abruptly returning, Okotie took a break from school to pursue a career in pop music.

His net worth was estimated by Forbes to be $3 to $10 million in 2011. His current net worth is $3 Million.

Chris Okotie Cars

Hummers, standard and stretched Range Rover SUVs, BMWs, and Mercedes-Benzes, to name just a few, are among the vehicles in his collection worth more than one billion Naira. He gave himself a Rolls-Royce Phantom coupe in 2013 to commemorate his 30th birthday and 27th year as a pastor. He spends a staggering 80 million yen on the British luxury car.

Most of the time, the flamboyant preacher is known to drive himself, usually in a group of cars driven by security personnel. His 125 million-yen 2020 Mercedes-Maybach was just recently observed on the road. The large, ultra-luxury sedan with the unique number plate “OKOTIE 1” has a wheelbase that is longer than that of the Mercedes-Benz S-class. It also has a wide range of driver-assistance features and a breathtakingly opulent interior. The front and rear seats of the sedan are covered by a huge panoramic sunroof. The vehicle has silver accents on 20-inch multispoke wheels.

Chris Okotie Church

The Household of God Ministry was founded by him. Okotie established the annual Karis Awards in 1990 to honor and financially reward Nigerian citizens. These awards were held by his church. On February 1, 1987, he held its first Sunday morning service in his living room, which was in the Ikeja area of Lagos state at the time. His house’s grounds became a gathering place for guests who spilled out of the living room as the unique, young church’s membership grew to hundreds of thousands. When the Lord Jesus Christ inspired the launch of the GRACE PROGRAMME and the television ministry APOKALUPSIS, both the church’s ministry and Reverend Chris Okotie as a gospel minister gained national recognition.

Since its inception in 1990, the ministry’s GRACE program, which is based on charity, has grown into an important annual source of charitable support. According to Jesus’ instructions, the program’s goal is to help the less fortunate in society by partnering with recognized non-governmental organizations that work directly with them. The KARIS AWARD, an additional inspiration from the Lord Jesus, was established in 1996 and incorporated into the GRACE program to recognize Nigerians who have positively impacted the nation but have not been recognized by the government.
