Chris Shaffer is an American Emmy award-winning meteorologist currently serving as the Chief Meteorologist for WCCO-TV and he has been working at the station since joining in 2006.
Chris Shaffer, a native of Stillwater, Minnesota, ventured out of the state for four years to earn degrees in Meteorology and Mass Communications at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He is a proud member of the American Meteorological Society and an Emmy award-winning meteorologist. Chris has been granted the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation, and he has previously appeared on television at KMSP FOX9 and WFTC/UPN 29 to present the weather.
