In the year 1997, Colin Morgan enrolled to the Integrated College Dungannon. It was during his third year that Colin won the ‘Denis Rooney Associates’ Cup award. This was an award for the best overall student in the academic year.
He also furthered his study to major in acting. He attended the Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education where acquired his National Diploma in Performing Arts (Acting) in 2004
To be an Expert, Colin went the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. He graduated from the institution in 2007. In his third year as an undergraduate student, Rufus Norris (theatre director) could not keep away from Colin’s talent and he took him for a project with West End Theatre in London. His incredible performances in ‘Vernon God Little’ formed the basis of his assessment for his final grades.
In November 2010, Colin received an award of Distinction from Belfast Metropolitan College for his engagement in Arts.

Morgan started off his career back in college featuring in many college artworks; such as Surgical Sensation and Bad Day at Black Frog Creek
He premiered in London in 2007 featuring in Young Vic as Vernon God Little. Other early projects he did were featuring in Old Vic as Esteban. Morgan was awarded “rookie of the year” the same year in the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Awards.

Morgan is 2011 participated in a play by the name, Our Private Life, by Pedro Miguel. He received good ratings from the press. He acted as Gray in 2012, a dance teacher luring the heart of one of his pupils at the Old Vic musical festival.
Acted against Prospero by Roger Allam, in The Tempest, he acted as Ariel. He received awards from The Washington Post.
In the following 2 years, Colin Morgan was featured in West End as Skinny Luke the comedy Major by Jez Butterworth’s at Harold Printer Theatre. His role was well recognized by the Radio Times.
London Theatre accepted Colin back where he acted in Gloria an amazing play by Braden Jacobs-Jenkin, in 2017.
In 2018, Colin did a production of Brian Friel’s Translations in the Olivier. The director was Ian Rickson. This is one of Friel’s best works.
As from 13th April to 8th June, Colin joined other stars in ‘All my sons’ Old Vic Theatre directed by Jeremy Herrin.
Despite the pandemic that has hit the universe, Morgan featured in Caryl Churchill’s play ‘A number’ from February 2020 to March 2020.
