Dana Tyler is a news anchor and reporter for New York City’s WCBS-TV, where she anchors the 6 PM newscast for the network. Furthermore, Tyler hosts a half-hour weekly community relations show for WCBS, Eye on New York, as well as several annual local specials: CBS 2 at Tony’s, CBS 2 at the Met, and Tunnel to Towers Race. On July 16, 1990, Tyler first joined WCBS as a weekend anchor and a reporter.

Along with Reggie Harris, she was part of the New York market’s first African-American team to anchor a newscast. She moved easily until she started anchoring 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. news in 1993. At WCBS-TV, Tyler worked with some of New York City’s better-known television news anchors.
