American actor, producer, and author, Delta Burke is also a writer. She played Suzanne Sugarbaker in the CBS sitcom Designing Women from 1986 to 1991, for which she received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Burke also appeared on Filthy Rich (1982–1983), Delta (1992–1993), Women of the House (1995), and DAG on television (2000–01).

In addition to appearing in the 2000 feature What Women Want and the drama series Boston Legal, she has created and performed in made-for-TV movies (2006–07).

She has additionally been on Broadway in the musicals of Steel Magnolias and Thoroughly Modern Millie (2005).
