Meet Diana Castillo, the News Director for Siouxland News: CBS Siouxland and FOX Siouxland. She’s a California girl at heart, but don’t hold that against her. Diana graduated from the University of La Verne with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, which is just a fancy way of saying she’s really good at talking.
Before joining Siouxland News, Diana was the News Director/Anchor for Laredo Fox News and Univision Laredo in Texas. She even launched the Fox Newscast in Laredo, which is impressive considering how hard it is to launch anything in Texas without a barbecue pit.
When she’s not busy being a news director, Diana loves to shoot hoops. She’s been playing basketball since the fifth grade and even though she’s all grown up, she still finds every opportunity to play. She’s also a fitness fanatic, but let’s be real, who isn’t these days?

Before becoming part of the Siouxland News team Diana was the News Director and Anchor for Laredo Fox News and Univision Laredo in Laredo, Texas.
Therefore, she was hired to launch the Fox Newscast in the Laredo market in April of 2012. Prior to Laredo, she served for Univision KORO 28 in Corpus Christi, TX, where she was the anchor and executive producer.
Prior to moving to Texas, she was the anchor and producer for Southern California Life Morning News.
Diana is a huge basketball fan and her favorite team is the Los Angeles Lakers. However, she has been playing basketball since she was in 5th grade and to this day still finds every opportunity to play (you can find her at the Four Seasons gym in Downtown Sioux City on most weekends playing).
Castillo likes working out and going to the gym, but what she loves the most is getting to know her community and participating in community events.
