Doug Batchelor is an American author of evangelism books and an evangelist of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He has experienced great extremes in his life. His long and winding journey from anti-social drug user to president of a worldwide ministry has assisted to shape him into an engaging speaker with whom audiences the world over can identify.
He had all that money could buy as a teenager. He used drugs, battled at school, and suicidal thoughts were amusing. Doug has determined to capture all the fun and excitement he could find, convinced that life had no purpose! A cave in the hills above Palm Springs, California, became his home until his search ended.
Even though he had access to money and well-known and influential people, he would eventually scavenge the trash bins for food. Until the day he started reading the dust-covered Bible “Someone” had left in his cave, the happiness Doug sought eluded him.

Amazing Facts has created in Baltimore, Maryland, by Joe Crews in 1965. Inspired by the popularity of The Rest Of The Tale, hosted by Paul Harvey, the original goal of Joe Crews for Incredible Facts was to reach both Christian and non-Christian listeners through regular 15-minute programs by beginning with a science or historical fact and how it relates to the overall Biblical messages. Subsequently, the show offered corresponding home Bible study courses as well as books.
