Ducis Rodgers Biography
Ducis Rodgers, the Sports Director for Action News. He gets to travel to different places to cover sports events and interview athletes. You can watch him on TV every weeknight at 6pm, 11pm, and 10pm on PHL17.
Before joining Action News, Ducis worked at ESPN as a host for Sportscenter and Outside the Lines. He also announced play-by-play for NCAA Baseball Regionals and appeared on ESPN First Take. From 2003 to 2009, he was the Sports Director, lead sports anchor, and sports reporter for WCBS-TV in New York. He even got to travel with the New York Yankees to Tokyo for a week-long trip in 2004!
Ducis started his career as an anchor/reporter at WDEF-TV in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and then became a sports anchor at WSVN-TV in Miami. While in Miami, he was named the Best Sportscaster by the Miami New Times in 2003.
Ducis is originally from Chicago and graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in broadcast journalism. He now lives in New Jersey with his wife, Diana, and their two sons.
