His car was so packed with his stuff during the cross-country drive from North Carolina to Phoenix that he looked like a mobile thrift store. Prior to joining ABC15, Ford worked at WXII 12 News in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he was known for his impeccable mustache.
Ford grew up in Raleigh, NC playing ice hockey and dreaming of becoming a professional hockey player. Unfortunately, his talent on the ice was comparable to a baby deer learning how to walk. Ford then moved on to play for a prep school in northern Massachusetts, where he learned that he was much better suited for journalism.
An avid sports fan, Ford cheers on his hometown Carolina Hurricanes and the Carolina Panthers along with the Syracuse Orange and NC State Wolfpack. He is quickly learning to adopt the Coyotes, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Suns, and Mercury, but he’s still trying to figure out how the game of cricket works.
