Kaitlyn Kendall is an all-star journalist who’s currently making waves as a multimedia journalist for WRTV, and boy does she know how to tell a story! She joined the team in November 2021, and is thrilled to be back in her hometown of Indianapolis, where she can finally put her encyclopedic knowledge of cornfields to good use.
A proud graduate of the University of Indianapolis, Kaitlyn spent her college days managing the university’s television team, which was so good that they made the university cafeteria look like the set of a Food Network cooking show.
Before returning home to Indy, Kaitlyn spent three years in Fort Wayne at WPTA-21 where she was basically the Swiss Army knife of journalists – chief investigative reporter, multi-media journalist, producer, and even main anchor. Her hourlong afternoon newscast was so good, it could make even the most die-hard nap enthusiast sit up and take notice.
But that’s not all, folks! Kaitlyn’s work with WPTA-21’s Digging Deeper team led to some major accolades, including the National Edward R. Murrow Award for Investigative Reporting, the Emmy Award for Investigative Series, and so many other awards that we don’t have enough space to list them all here.
When Kaitlyn isn’t busy winning awards and making headlines, she’s busy with her most important job – being a mom to her adorable daughter, Presley. In fact, she’s so good at it, we’ve heard rumors that the city of Indianapolis is considering renaming itself Presleyville in her honor.
