Montgomery County native Katie Katro is an American Award-winning journalist who currently works for WPVI TV. She joined the Action News team in December 2018. She kicked off her Journalism career at 5NEWS in Fayetteville, Arkansas initially working as a fill-in anchor and field reporter.
At 5BEWS she covered several prominent events like the Walmart Shareholders Meeting, The Bentonville Film Festival, and the LPGA tournament. She dug into the documents of a historical home of a famous aviator, set to be demolished, and covered the plane crush carrying former Walmart CEO.
