King Princess is a Brooklyn, New York-based singer, songwriter, and musician. She is signed to Mark Ronson’s label Zelig Records, which is a Columbia Records imprint. King Princess released her debut single “1950” from the Make My Bed EP in February 2018.

Princess released Hold On Baby, her second studio album. Zelig Records distributed it on July 29, 2022. Mark Ronson, Ethan Gruska, Aaron Dessner, Bryce Dessner, and Tobias Jesso Jr. produced the album. Four singles preceded Hold On Baby, including “Little Bother,” which featured guest vocals from Fousheé. Along with the album, Taylor Hawkins contributed drums to the fifth single, “Let Us Die.” Music critics generally gave the album high marks, praising its production and instrumentals.

In 2019, she released Cheap Queen, her debut album, and the singles “Only Time Makes It Human” and “Pain” followed. She released the singles “House Burn Down” and “Little Bother” in 2021. Straus spent a lot of her childhood traveling with her father to work at Mission Sound, his recording studio.
