Jones also mentioned how while spending time with friends and family, he used to fake a smile and nod along. Additionally, he felt incapable of participating as if he were losing out. Furthermore, his return to the television, however, was a noisy one as he could hear the director and correspondents in his right ear through an earpiece and an amplified, distorted echo of his own speech through the hearing aid at his left.
