Ligon Duncan is a renowned pastor, theologian, and educator who has served in many different roles throughout his career. From 1990 to 1995, Ligon also worked as an assistant pastor at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1993, he additionally worked as the temporary pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Yazoo City, Mississippi.

As of January 1, 2014, Ligon no longer served as Senior Minister at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Mississippi. He was appointed Reformed Theological Seminary’s Chancellor right away. Ligon continues to lecture at the department of Systematic Theology while doing this function.
