Linda Evans Biography
American actress Linda Evans is well-recognized for her television work. In the 1960s, she portrayed Audra Barkley in the Western television series The Big Valley, which starred Barbara Stanwyck as Victoria Barkley (1965–1969).
She is best known for her eight-year run as Krystle Carrington in the ABC primetime serial opera Dynasty in the 1980s. Evans made his television debut in a 1960 episode of Bachelor Father. She co-starred with John Forsythe, who would go on to play her co-star on Dynasty 20 years later.
Evans was credited in the series until it ended in 1969, playing Audra Barkley, the daughter of Victoria Barkley (played by Barbara Stanwyck), but she was only a semi-regular cast member for the final two seasons.
After being hired by daredevil Evel Knievel to capture his motorcycle jump over the fountains at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on December 31, 1967, John Derek enlisted the help of his future wife to handle one of his cameras. Evans captured the famous pictures of Knievel’s tragic fall after the unsuccessful jump.
Evans continued to make appearances on television throughout the 1970s, mostly in supporting roles. Evans co-starred in the 1979 thriller Avalanche Express opposite Lee Marvin and Robert Shaw.
