Mark Giangreco used to be the big boss of sports news at WLS-TV in Chicago, which is a TV station. He was the main guy who talked about sports during the 5pm and 10pm news shows. Mark Giangreco was born in Buffalo, New York and went to Canisius High School. He graduated in 1970 and went to the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. While in college, he started his broadcasting career on WING Radio. He graduated in 1974.
Giangreco’s first job on TV was at a local NBC station in Dayton, Ohio. He worked there for less than a year before moving to Louisville, Kentucky in 1978. After only four years in Louisville, he moved to Chicago to work for WMAQ-TV. He stayed there from 1982 to 1994 before joining ABC7 in Chicago where he stayed until 2021.
