Matthew Amroliwala is a British TV newsreader who, every weekday at 1500 hrs GMT, presents Global with Matthew Amroliwala on BBC World News. He is an occasional BBC News On One relief presenter on BBC One. He also hosted Crimewatch from January 2008 until March 2015 alongside Kirsty Young.

He was educated at King’s School, Ely, Cambridgeshire, then at Durham University’s St Chad ‘s College. Having studied Law and Politics, he graduated in 1984.

In 2006, Matthew was reunited with his former wife, Jane Hill, and worked until 2013 on the 11 am -2 pm programs.
