Michelle Imperato became an anchor at WESH 2 News in June 2014, after co-anchoring the number one morning show at KSBW, WESH 2’s sister station in Monterey, California, where she also worked as an investigative reporter.
Previously, she was an anchor and reporter for WLNY-TV 10/55’s nightly News at Eleven in New York. Michelle studied Media and Communications at the State University of New York Old Westbury and began her career as a reporter on Long Island News Tonight at the New York Institute of Technology.
As a reporter, Michelle has covered various significant local, national, and international stories, including the search for Boston Marathon bombing suspects, the illegal use of electric prods at the California Rodeo Salinas, and the harmful black mold found in apartments at the former Fort Ord.
She also reported from the front lines of the Big Sur Wildfire in 2013 and covered the 2008 Presidential elections and “The Miracle on the Hudson” in New York City.
