Mitch Blacher joined the 7News I-team In November 2021 as a national award-winning investigative reporter who passionately advocates for the communities he covers and the individuals who rely on him to share their stories. With reporting experience across North America and Europe, Mitch’s impactful work has brought about criminal indictments, regulatory change, and new legislation.
Mitch has a track record of breaking significant stories, such as uncovering missing safety systems on Amtrak’s Northeast corridor after a fatal derailment in Philadelphia, revealing a 10-term congressman’s ongoing history of sexual harassment in California, and exposing human rights violations and misconduct by U.S. Border Patrol Agents at the U.S. Southern border. His reporting led to action by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
