Natalie Wadas, the multitalented journalist, joined WOWK 13 News in 2020 after leaving the mountains of Boulder, Colorado. She’s pumped to be back in the East and reporting the latest news to the folks in Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Natalie has a degree in Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder, with minors in political science and Russian. She also completed an internship at KRDO NewsChannel 13 and a fellowship with News21 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Natalie has lived in Germany and Belgium, which gave her the fluency in German and the knowledge of the Russian language. She even spent a month in St. Petersburg to soak up more about the culture and language.

When not chasing stories, Natalie hikes the beautiful trails of the region and explores the Appalachian. She also plays with her black cat, Salem, who is more excited about her new job than she is.

Natalie grew up traveling. She has lived in Germany and Belgium. Additionally, she speaks German fluently and knows her fair share of Russian. Actually, she spent a month abroad in St. Petersburg to learn more about the language and culture.
