Ron Corning Biography
Hold on to your coffee cups, folks! We’ve got the lowdown on Ron Corning, the TV host with more career moves than a game of Twister. Currently, he’s a special events contributor for KDAF, the CW affiliate in Dallas-Fort Worth. But he’s no stranger to the morning news game, having spent 8 years as the morning anchor at WFAA in Dallas.
Ron’s journey began in Maine, where he was raised, and then took him to Massachusetts for college. From there, he made his way to West Virginia, Ohio, Missouri, and finally Seattle before hitting the national stage as the host and news anchor of The Daily Buzz.
But wait, there’s more! Ron also spent some time at ABC News, where he was named one of the “Most Beautiful People” by People Magazine (we’re still waiting on our own nomination, by the way).
After a stint in New York, Ron made his way back to Dallas to co-host Daybreak at WFAA. But as they say, all good things must come to an end, and Ron left the station in 2019.
But fear not, because Ron’s still keeping busy. He’s appeared on podcasts and even launched his own video podcast series titled “Morning After”. And guess what? It was so good, it was picked up as a daily morning show on KDAF, where Ron served as co-host and Executive Producer until April of 2022.
