Sam Luther is an American Journalist currently working as a reporter for WVLT News since October of 2020. Previously, he served as a reporter at WTVC in Chattanooga where he covered the tornadoes that tore through the city on Easter Sunday. Sam began serving at WVUA 23 News in Tuscaloosa where he edits, report, and shoot stories for the station.

Sam has honored by the Associated Press for Best Reporter in 2019, while serving in the early stages of COVID 19 and how the city of Chattanooga prepared for the pandemic in its early stages. Speaking with survivors, showing how the pandemic impacted businesses and the community.
Starting in 2017, Sam began serving at WVUA 23 News in Tuscaloosa where he edits, report, and shoot stories for the station. That’s when he fell in love with it. Sam was able to tell the stories of people in the community felt so rewarding but at the same time a great responsibility.
When not serving, Sam likes playing golf, and if you ever see him on a golf course you should probably go left because the ball is going right. Sam also likes basketball and watching his beloved sports teams out of his hometown Atlanta, Georgia.
