After her work as a clerk, she was awarded a Bristow Fellowship by the Office of the Solicitor General in the U.S. Department of Justice. While at Bristow Fellow, she drafted Supreme Court briefs on cases including Clinton v. Jones. There, she assisted the Solicitor General in preparing for oral argument before the High Court.
Acker is an experienced litigator and has represented a wide range of clients. Her legal practice spanned a wide variety of topics. She has addressed numerous constitutional proceedings, including civil lawsuits between public and private entities. She provided constitutional cases, as well as providing consulting and advice to companies.
