Tasha Cobbs Leonard is a gospel musician and songwriter who recorded the extended play Grace with EMI Gospel in 2012, which was later released in 2013 with the lead single Break Every Chain. The EP peaked at number 61 on the Billboard charts. Cobbs won the Grammy for Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. She’s also received 15 Stellar Awards, three Billboard Music Awards, and nine Dove Awards.

From her major-label debut studio album Grace in 2013, Cobbs performed the song “Break Every Chain.” Will Reagan wrote and produced the song, which was released as the album’s lead single. The tunes highlights visitor vocals performed by Timiney Figueroa from Hezekiah Walker’s Affection Association Campaign Ensemble.

In 2009, Will Reagan and the United Pursuit Band composed and performed the song. Jesus Culture covered the song in 2011 afterward. However, Cobbs’ rendition of the song is the trio’s first to be commercially successful and embraced by the gospel community.

In 2012, the song topped both the digital and airplay gospel charts and the Billboard Gospel Songs chart. The song also managed to reach number 29 on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart and number 35 on the Holiday Songs chart. The song won a Grammy for “Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance” at the 56th Grammy Awards. Cobbs performed the song in October 2013 at the 44th GMA Dove Awards. Cobbs’ song “This Is a Move” was released as a stand-alone single on January 25, 2019. The song was written by Cobbs Leonard, Nate Moore, Tony Brown, and Brandon Lake together. The single was produced by Kenneth Leonard Jr. The song was well-received by the public, peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart and remaining there for a total of 26 weeks. On the 2019 year-end Hot Gospel Songs chart, the song peaked at number 33.

At the 2019 GMA Dove Awards, “This Is a Move” won the award for Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year. “This Is a Move” received the Stellar Award for Song of the Year at the 2020 Stellar Awards and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Gospel Performance/Song. On June 28, 2019, the song was released by Brandon Lake as his first single with Bethel Music. The song spent eighteen weeks on the US Hot Christian Songs chart, peaking at number 36.
