Tina Tyus-Shaw is an American television news anchor and journalist currently as an anchor working for WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia. Before, she served a series of radio and television jobs in Macon, Georgia; North Carolina; and Columbus, Georgia, prior to settling in Savannah in 1992. She began serving for WSAV-TV in April of that year as a weekend news anchor, but within just three years had made it to the main anchor position on the nightly news at 6 and 11.

Tyus-Shaw has called Savannah and WSAV-TV her home since 1992. She was born in Griffin, Georgia, and wanted to be a Television Broadcaster at an early age. Additionally, she graduated from Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Speech, Communication, and Theater.
After graduating from college Tina served for television and radio stations in Macon, The Outer Banks of North Carolina, and Columbus, Georgia.
In April 1992, Tina had the chance to serve at WSAV as a Reporter and Weekend Anchor. She joined the Weekday Anchor Team in September 1995. Covering education and breaking news from the field ignited her passion for serving our community.
Tina has had the chance to cover and be a part of some memorable stories. In 1996, she was accepted as a Savannah torchbearer for the 1996 Olympic Torch Run across Georgia, continuing her family Olympic tradition started by her Aunt, Wyomia Tyus, a two-time 100-meter gold medalist in 1964 and 1968.
