She joined Fox News in August 2017, where she is a contributor on several different shows across the Fox News and Fox Business networks, as well as a frequent guest co-host on Outnumbered and currently hosts a talk show on Fox Nation, No Interruption. She hosted and co-produced The Scramble, the university’s political roundtable show. Lahren worked as the first intern for South Dakota Republican Congresswoman Kristi Noem’s Rapid City office. Lahren applied to One America News Network (OANN) in search of an internship in political commentary, received an interview, and was instead offered the opportunity to host her own show. She relocated to San Diego and began working for OANN. In August 2014, On Point with Tomi Lahren premiered.

Lahren landed an interview with the right-wing news network ‘One America News Network.’ She was interviewed directly by the network’s CEO, who was impressed by her knowledge of American politics. Instead of an internship, she was given the opportunity to create her own show. The show, titled ‘On Point with Tomi Lahren,’ premiered in August of 2014. She’d relocated to San Diego, California, for her first major television job. She referred to herself as a “constitutional conservative” and avoided calling herself a journalist from the start. In November 2015, she relocated to Texas and began a new show with The Blaze. She became known for concluding her shows with three-minute segments called “final thoughts,” in which she spoke very quickly.

These segments gained a lot of traction on social media. Lahren endorsed Marco Rubio for president in the Republican Party presidential primary in January 2016. Lahren appeared on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah for a 26-minute interview on November 30. On The View on March 17, 2017, Lahren stated that women should have access to abortion and that she would be a hypocrite if she supported both “limited government and government restrictions on abortion.” Glenn Beck, the owner of TheBlaze and an anti-abortion activist, chastised Lahren and suspended her without pay, prompting Lahren to file a wrongful termination lawsuit. The lawsuit was settled through an agreement in which Lahren kept her Facebook page, but deleted the TheBlaze videos she made.

In May 2017, Lahren started working in communications at Great America Alliance, a subsidiary of Great America PAC, a large pro-Donald Trump super PAC chaired by Newt Gingrich and Rudy Giuliani. Lahren explained her role as a “side gig,” and she stated that she would return to television as a commentator. Lahren joined Fox News as a contributor in August 2017.
