Trevor Noah is a South African stand-up comedian, television show host, political commentator, writer, actor, and producer. From September 2015 to September 2022, Trevor was the host of the American satirical news program The Daily Show on Comedy Central. From 2010 to 2011, Trevor hosted a similar late-night talk show in South Africa called Tonight with Trevor Noah. It used to be broadcast on DSTV and M-Net. He joined The Daily Show in 2014 as a Senior International Correspondent before taking over as host in 2015, succeeding Jon Stewart.

Noah appeared in an episode of the South African soap opera Isidingo in 2002. Later, on Gauteng’s leading youth radio station, YFM, he hosted his own radio show Noah’s Ark. He gave up his radio show and acting career to focus on comedy, and has performed with South African comedians, international comedians such as Paul Rodriguez, Carl Barron, Dan Ilic, and Paul Zerdin, as well as as the opening act for American comedian Gabriel Iglesias on his South African tour in November 2007. Noah hosted the educational TV show Run the Adventure on SABC 2 from 2004 to 2006. In 2007, he hosted The Real Goboza, a gossip-themed show on SABC 1 as well as Siyadlala, a sports show on the same channel.

In 2009, he hosted the 3rd Annual South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) and co-hosted The Axe Sweet Life, a reality competition series, with Eugene Khoza. Noah hosted the 16th South African Music Awards in 2010, as well as Tonight with Trevor Noah on MNet (the second series was moved to DStv’s Mzansi Magic Channel).  Noah also became a spokesperson and consumer advocate for Cell C, South Africa’s third-largest mobile phone network provider, in 2010.
