David Rockwell Biography

American architect and designer David Rockwell. He is the founder and president of the Rockwell Group, a 250-person, a multidisciplinary architecture and design firm with locations in Los Angeles and Madrid.

A board member of Citymeals-on-Wheels, the New York Restoration Project, and the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA), Rockwell now holds the position of Chair Emeritus.

Smaller, underutilized spaces can be turned into play areas using models that Rockwell Group has developed that are portable and expandable. More than 13,000 kids in Bangladesh and Haiti have received the blocks through the U.N.I.C.E.F. P.L.A.Y. Project, a cooperation with Disney.
