However, she spent her year of service promoting her platform helmet safety and head trauma awareness after her best friend was killed in a motorcycle accident. After her reign, she continued volunteering for the Vietnamese Community of Utah and the Virtua Foundation, even traveling to Africa to help with building the first children’s hospital in Tanzania.
