Vanessa Ruffes, an award-winning journalist, is currently a news anchor at WCNC Charlotte, where she anchors the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. newscasts alongside Fred Shropshire. She joined the Charlotte community in January 2020, coming from Tampa, Florida, where she reported on a wide range of topics such as roads, business, finance, and sports.
Vanessa has also worked in Fort Myers, Florida, where she shared heartwarming and fun local stories, and in Macon, Georgia, where she reported on the stories of America’s heroes as a beat reporter for Robins Air Force Base and its surrounding area.
