Grant Denyer Radio | Career

Denyer began his media career in 1997 as a news reporter and journalist at Prime Television in Wagga Wagga. When Adam Boland, a television producer, noticed him, he moved to Sydney to work as a V8 Supercar pit reporter for Network Ten. Denyer’s potential was recognized by Boland, who offered him a full-time position as the weather presenter on the relaunched Sunrise program from 2004 to the end of 2006. Denyer left this position in December 2006 to spend more time with his family, but he continued to work as a roving reporter for the breakfast show Sunrise. Denyer is in the process of filming a weather segment for Sunrise. Denyer triumphed in the fourth season of Dancing with the Stars.

Denyer won the fourth season of Dancing with the Stars and from 2006 to 2008 hosted the celebrity duet singing competition It Takes Two. He has also co-hosted All Time Greatest Aussie Bloopers, Guinness World Records, and Australia’s Got Talent. He holds five official Guinness World Records. He hosted Carols in the Domain in Sydney from 2006 to 2011.

In 2007, he began his race and television career, racing and reporting on the V8 Supercar Series alongside Neil Crompton, Matthew White, Mark Beretta, and Daniel Gibson. Denyer returned to Sunrise as a weather presenter in January 2010, succeeding Fifi Box, who became Entertainment editor.

Denyer hosted Slide Show in late 2013. He hosted a Million Dollar Minute series that premiered on September 16, 2013. Denyer resigned on November 29, 2013, citing “family reasons,” and was replaced by Weekend Sunrise sports presenter Simon Reeve. Denyer joined Network Ten in 2014 as the host of a rebooted version of the game show Family Feud.

Denyer has described himself as a “workaholic”. Denyer co-hosted The Great Australian Spelling Bee with Chrissie Swan in 2015. In 2016, he also appeared on Neighbours for Family Feud episode 7477. Denyer hosted an Australian version of Game of Games in 2018. Denyer co-hosted Dancing with the Stars with Amanda Keller in 2019 and hosted Celebrity Name Game.
