Janice Huff is the Chief Meteorologist for NBC 4 New York. She delivers weather reports for the station’s 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. newscasts. She has been providing accurate and informative weather information to Tri-State viewers for more than 25 years.

Huff is a member of the New York State Broadcasters Association’s Hall of Fame and was inducted as a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society in 2020. Beginning April 1991, she moved to the NBC affiliate, KRON in San Francisco working as an online meteorologist and host for “Bay Area’s Best Bets.” While at the position, she was named a “Clean Air Hero” by the American Lung Association for her work in promoting healthier lungs and cleaner air.

Janice launched the nationally syndicated “Weather School” plans to the Bay Area in 1992. She promotes science education with an emphasis on meteorology in the plans that she had. Janice joined WNBC to work as the weekend meteorology for “Today in New York,” “News Channel 4” at 6 and 11 p.m. Later in January 1995.

She began broadcasting “Live at Five” in 2001. Moreover, she is the host of “Wednesday’s Child.” This is a weekly plan that airs Wednesdays throughout “News 4 You” and again on “Sunday Today in New York.”
